Preliminary Round Day 3: POLAND - FRANCE 50-65

France is the winner of Preliminary Group A in Bucharest and of course advanced to the next stage. They outplayed Poland for perfect 3-0 record at U18 EuroBasket. Poland finished as the last ranked team of this pool (0-3) and will be transferred to Group G (13th-16th place). There, Poland will fight for the survival and only the winner of this group will avoid relegation to Division B. France created 15-point lead at the beginning, but Poland closed the gap to 6 pts at the halftime. Third quarter was totally leveled (9-9) and France shined in the last ten minutes (20-11) to take the victory in this meeting. Mamiignan Toure and Valeriane Ayayi (5 rebs) stepped up for France with 14 and 13 points respectively. Marieme Badiane also was great adding 9 points and 15 rebs. Actually, she was the MVP of this meeting with valuation 19. In Poland, Katarzyna Jaworska had 8 points and 8 rebounds. Karolina Puss, Magdalena Wojdalska and Angelika Stankiewicz posted 8 pts each. On Monday, France will play against Greece in the Qualifying Group E. Poland will meet Belgium in the first game of Group G.
