Finland started stronger and took 20:15 lead at the end of the first period. Portugal meanwhile bounced back with 18:15 run in the second frame as Relvao Daniel reduced to 35:33 at the halftime. Finland pushed the tempo in the third period and Shawn Hopkins (195-G/F-95) nailed three for 50:37 advantage. The German side continued their high performance in the second half and posted another two victories. They won the third period 14-11 and finished the game with 20-12. Schlueter Lars stepped up with 13 points for the winners and Zinn Robert as well as Christian Sengfelder (201-F/C-95) had 12 points each. Ebert Constantin followed them with 8 points. But Hungary capped the starting quarter with 10 points in a row to grab a 22:18 lead. Bonitzer quickly stretched the gap at 7-point mark. Hungary maintained the advantage but led by just a single point at halftime 38:37. Hungary used a 7:0 run midway through the third term to open a double-digit lead. They entered the fourth period up by 9 points 62:53. Bonitzer and Benke gave Hungary a 70:56 lead early in the final term and they cruised to the victory afterwards. Noe Anabir posted 13 points to lead the winners. Switzerland got to a storming start. They held Romania to just 6 points in the first period and accumulated a 10-point lead. Switzerland maintained control in the second term. They piled up a 39:18 halftime advantage. Romania however stopped the rot in the third term. They went on a 25:12 rally in the quarter to cut the deficit at 8-point mark 43:51. Brosser and Andrei Ciordas (203-PF-95) put Romania within one 54:55 midway through the fourth frame. Romania still trailed by just one point with 19 seconds left in regulation but Patrick Bianchi nailed three free throws in the dying seconds to seal the win for the Swiss team. Belgium will have another chance tomorrow to become the third team to advance to Division A as they face FYR Macedonia. Belgium surprised Poland with 21-17 rally in the first period, but then Poland pushed the tempo for good. They won the second period 26-15 and added 15-12 run in the third quarter. Moreover Poland won the last stanza 22-14 to ensure the total success. Jeszke Damian top-scored for the winners with 23 points and Mikolaj Witlinski (207-F/C-95) as well as Wadowski Igor added 17 each. Zolnierewicz Przemyslaw poured in 11 points in a win. Montenegro will take on Poland in the Final game. It was a real thriller in the court. More than 2000 fans came to support their team, but the victory jumped to another team at the end of the game. Nikolov Kristijan gave FYR Macedonia 57:54 lead, but then Milovan Draskovic (211-C-95, agency: Interperformances) tied the game at 60:60. He also made two more three for the final result. Romania meanwhile finished third with 2-3 record. Israel continued their winning streak and looked great in the game. They won the first period 21-14 and had 16-12 rally in the second frame. Moreover Israel posted two victories in the second half and increased the win to final 27 points. Zanzuri nailed the last three-pointer in the game for the final result. They maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. Romania secured a 47:41 halftime advantage. They stretched the margin in the third term. Romania entered the final stanza up by 13 points 69:56. But Switzerland turned things around in the fourth frame. Damjanovic scored three points to trigger an 18:2 run that crowned the regulation and brought victory for Switzerland. They trailed by 6 points heading into the final period. It all came down to the final seconds in this one. Israel spurred in front to lead by three points 76:73 with under two minutes remaining.
