Second Stage Day 4: ROMANIA - CZECH REPUBLIC 73-85

Czech Republic was better than Romania 85-73 in the opening game of Group G at U18 EuroBasket. Teams in this group fight for the survival in Division A. Other participants are Poland and Czech Republic, but only the winner of this pool will avoid relegation to Division B. Czech Republic exploded after the breather to beat the host of this even. Quarters: 22-22, 24-20, 10-25, 17-18. Mariana Opocenska paced Czech Republic to victory with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Kamila Hoskova had 17 pts, and 5 rebs, while Karolian Severova collected 15 points and 5 rebs. In Romania, Ana Maria Grigore answered with 28 pts and 7 rebs. Iulia Raileanu had 17 pts and 8 rebs, while Alexandra Dumitrache scored 16 pts. Tomorrow, Czech Republic will play against Poland. Romania will meet Belgium.
