Qualifying Round Day 2: SWITZERLAND - POLAND 66-80

Poland earned the initial win at the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They bounced back after the starting loss to Belgium to defeat Switzerland in Fribourg. Marcin Gortat tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the winners. Poland aggressively entered the game. The visitors piled up a 23:19 lead after ten minutes. Poland stayed in charge throughout the second quarter. They piled up a 40:32 halftime lead. Poland stretched the margin in the third term. The visitors established a comfortable 61:44 lead at the final break. Switzerland managed to narrow the deficit but could not threaten their opponents in the final period. Lukasz Koszarek accounted for 13 points, while Michal Ignerski added 12 points for the winners. Dusan Mladjan answered with 14 points for Switzerland. David Ramseier had 12 points and 9 rebounds in defeat.
