Qualifying Round Day 3: POLAND - FINLAND 79-81

Finland shock Poland in Koszalin in front of 3000 fans. The Nordic side grabbed valuable 81:79 win as Koponen Petteri made a free throw at the end of the game. It was a real thriller in the court. Both teams scored 22 points each in the first period and only in the second frame Finland took 2-point advantage after 20-18. Poland meanwhile replied with the same score in the third period and tied the game after three quarters. Berisha Dardan later made the same at 70:70 and Ignerski Michal nailed three for 73:72. Huff Shawn and Koivisto nailed threes for 78:75, while Poland could reduce just to one point. Koponen Petteri made a free throw at the end of the game to seal the victory with Finland. Koponen Petteri poured in 26 points for the winners and Huff Shawn added 15. Lee Gerald notched 13, whilst Mottola Hanno added 11. Ignerski Michal answered with 22 points in the losing effort and Berisha Dardan brought 16. Gortat Marcin collected 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Skibniewski Robert delivered 9.
