Qualifying Round Day 4: FINLAND - BELGIUM 97-60

Finland recorded the third consecutive win at 2013 EuroBasket Qualification. They overcame Belgium in Helsinki to stay undefeated on top of Group E. Belgium suffered the first loss and slipped at 2-1 record. Petteri Koponen delivered 21 points and 8 assists to lead the hosts. It was a close battle in the first two periods. Finland led by just a single point 19:18 after ten minutes. They stretched the margin in the second frame. Finland accumulated a 37:32 halftime lead. The home team cleared off in the third quarter. Finland went on a 23:2 run in the period to take a 60:36 lead midway through the quarter. They entered the fourth frame up by 23 points 66:43. Finland never looked back afterwards breezing to the victory. Shawn Huff delivered 17 points, while Mikko Koivisto added 12 points for the winners. Sam Van Rossom answered with 11 points for Belgium. Wen Boss Mukubu had 9 points in the loss.
