Qualifying Round Day 9: ESTONIA - SERBIA 88-81

Estonia remains hopeful about their 2013 EuroBasket ambitions. They knocked down Serbia to improve at 5-4 record in Group A. They caught up with the Balkan team in the ladder. Kristjan Kangur posted 19 points to lead the winners. Serbia entered the game as favourites and started to prove their status right from the start. They established a 22:16 lead after ten minutes. Estonia cut the deficit in the second quarter. The hosts got within two points at halftime 41:43. Gregor Arbet and Kristjan Kangur put Estonia in front 57:54 late in the third frame. Serbia retained the lead but Kristjan Kangur drew things level at 63 with ten minutes remaining. Gregor Arbet triggered a 10:0 run from Estonia as they accumulated a 78:68 lead with just over four minutes remaining. Milenko Tepic and Milos Teodosic dragged Serbia within two points 78:80. However Dorbek, Kristjan Kangur and Sokk sealed the victory for the home side. Gregor Arbet accounted for 17 points, while Siim-Sander Vene added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Nenad Krstic replied with 20 points for Serbia. Milos Teodosic and Milenko Tepic had 16 points apiece in the loss.
