Qualifying Round Day 10: ESTONIA - ICELAND 80-58

Estonia did their part of the task in order to gain 2013 EuroBasket ticket. They knocked down visiting Iceland to improve at 6-4 record in Group A. Estonia will now await for the result of Serbia vs. Israel clash to get to know their fate. The Baltic team needs Israel to stun Serbia on the road to advance. Iceland fell at 1-9 record after the loss. Estonia could not clear off in the opening quarter. They led by just two points after ten minutes of action 24:22. Estonia boosted the margin in the second quarter. They recorded a 47:32 halftime advantage. The margin just kept on growing in the third term. Estonia secured a 62:43 lead at the final intermission. The hosts did not slow down in the fourth term and rallied to the victory. Siim-Sander Vene posted 23 points and 7 boards to lead Estonia. Gregor Arbet added 11 points, while Gert Dorbek had 10 points in the win. Jon Stefansson reacted with 13 points for Iceland. Jakob Sigurdarson notched 12 points in the loss.
