Kibirkstis-Tiche gained the first success at the EuroCup season. They knocked down MBK Ruzomberok in Slovak Republic to clinch the first win in Group H. Kristina Vengryte stepped up with 14 points to lead the winners. The teams traded baskets throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 18:18 after ten minutes. The Lithuanian team surged ahead in the second frame. Kibirkstis-Tiche accounted for a 34:24 halftime lead. MBK Ruzomberok cut the deficit in the third term. The hosts limited their opponents at 10 points and entered the fourth frame trailing by 9 points. Ruzomberok got within three points 51:54 with under three minutes remaining in regulation. However Valentiene and Daniels scored key four points to give Kibirkstis-Tiche a 58:52 lead with 34 seconds to go. The visitors hung on to clinch the victory. Kristina Alminaite provided 10 points, while Lina Pikciute had 8 points in the win. Ruzomberok answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds from Sequoia Holmes. Katarina Tetemondova had 12 points in the loss.
