Regular Season Round 1: Le Mans - Triumph 71-76

Triumph brought victory from France in the first game of EuroCup season. The Russian team shot down Le Mans on the road in Group C opener. Sergey Karasev was pivotal with 27 points and 6 rebounds for the visitors. Triumph silenced the hosts in the first frame. The Russian team went on a deadly 27:10 run in the opening quarter. Triumph kept a steady grip on the lead in the second term. They limited the hosts at 21 points in the first half to take a 40:21 lead. Le Mans finally shook off sloppiness in the third term. They erupted for 28 points in the quarter to cut the distance at 7-point mark 49:56. Yuval Naimy drained three triples midway through the fourth period to give Triumph a 70:57 lead. Le Mans narrowed the gap but had no chance to save the day. Yuval Naimy finished with 17 points, while Tywain McKee netted 16 points for the winning side. Khalid El-Amin answered with 19 points for Le Mans. Cuthbert Victor provided 14 points in the loss.
