MBK Ruzomberok opened win count in EuroCup season. They upset Kibirkstis-Tiche in Lithuania tonight to catch up with their opponents at 1-2 record in Group H. Sequoia Holmes led the effort with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the Slovakian team. Kibirkstis-Tiche dominated the first term. The hosts piled up an 8-point lead after ten minutes. MBK Ruzomberok however turned things upside down in the second term. The visitors went on a 24:13 run to arrive at halftime up by 3 points 36:33. Kibirkstis-Tiche erased the deficit in the third term. The hosts regained the lead taking a 52:51 advantage into the fourth quarter. However Sequoia Holmes and Baburova triggered a 9:2 run late in the final period to give MBK Ruzomberok a 66:59 lead and they rallied to the victory in the final seconds. Kadidja Andersson notched 13 points, while Janka Mincikova added 12 points and 7 assists for MBK Ruzomberok. Vita Kuktiene answered with 14 points for Kibirkstis-Tiche. Sakellie Daniels chipped in 12 points in the loss.
