BC Donetsk overcame Trefl Sopot in overtime to climb at 1-2 record in EuroCup Group E. Darius Songaila notched 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals to pace the Ukrainian champions. BC Donetsk faced a 6-point deficit after ten minutes of action. But the hosts recovered pretty quickly. BC Donetsk went on a 20:10 rally in the second term to surge ahead. Trefl Sopot however turned things their way in the third term. The Polish powerhouse eked out a 57:56 lead into the fourth period. BC Donetsk spurred ahead and enjoyed a 74:70 lead with under 30 seconds remaining. But Filip Dylewicz nailed a jumper and then followed a free throw from Ramel Curry with a three-pointer to send the game into overtime. The teams went neck and neck throughout the extra period before Vojdan Stojanovski drained a triple and Doron Perkins then sealed the victory from the charity stripe. Vojdan Stojanovski netted 18 points, while D'or Fischer had 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Frank Turner delivered 23 points for Trefl Sopot. Filip Dylewicz had 19 points in the loss.
