Regular Season Round 4: Triumph - VEF Riga 82-77

Triumph accounted for the fourth straight win in EuroCup season. They overcame visiting VEF Riga in Lyubertsy. The hosts remained on top of Group C with 4-0 record. VEF Riga slipped at 1-3 record. Tasmin Mitchell posted 21 points to pace the winners. VEF Riga enjoyed a 22:18 lead ten minutes into the game. But the hosts turned things around in the second quarter. Triumph denied the deficit and pulled ahead. The home team accounted for a 41:34 halftime lead. The hosts led by 11 points midway through the third term but VEF Riga cut the margin. They went on a 7:2 run to narrow the deficit. The Latvian team trailed by just 4 points heading into the fourth term 55:59. Earl Rowland put VEF Riga in front early in the fourth period. But Triumph used an 8:0 run to regain the lead. They maintained the advantage and protected till the final buzzer. Tywain McKee and Kyle Landry delivered 15 points each for the winning side. Earl Rowland answered with 17 points and 6 assists for VEF Riga. Kristaps Janicenoks provided 13 points in the loss.
