Regular Season Round 4: Trefl Sopot - BC Donetsk 77-67

Trefl Sopot stayed alive in the EuroCup fight with a well earned home victory over BC Donetsk. Filip Dylewicz posted 20 points to pace the Polish team to the initial win in Group E. Both teams are now tied at 1-3 record. It was never an easy affair for the hosts. Trefl Sopot led by three points at the end of the first quarter 20:17. But BC Donetsk bounced back in the second term. They erupted for 28 points to secure a 45:34 halftime advantage. Trefl Sopot had to regroup defensively in the second half. They made necessary adjustments and limited the Ukrainian team to 13 points in the third term. Trefl Sopot cut the deficit at 5 points 53:58 into the fourth frame. Trefl Sopot opened the fourth quarter on a 15:2 run to take a 68:60 lead. BC Donetsk could not recover from the blow as the hosts rallied to the victory. Sime Spralja accounted for 11 points, while Frank Turner and Marcin Stefanski added 10 points each in the win. Vojdan Stojanovski answered with 15 points for BC Donetsk. Darius Songaila had 14 points in the losing case.
