Finals Game 1: SWITZERLAND - ROMANIA 62-58

Switzerland claimed the 15th position at the U18 European Championship in Division B. They knocked down Romania in the final game at the tournament for both teams. Noe Anabir posted 13 points to lead the winners. Switzerland got to a storming start. They held Romania to just 6 points in the first period and accumulated a 10-point lead. Switzerland maintained control in the second term. They piled up a 39:18 halftime advantage. Romania however stopped the rot in the third term. They went on a 25:12 rally in the quarter to cut the deficit at 8-point mark 43:51. Brosser and Andrei Ciordas put Romania within one 54:55 midway through the fourth frame. Romania still trailed by just one point with 19 seconds left in regulation but Patrick Bianchi nailed three free throws in the dying seconds to seal the win for the Swiss team. He finished with 10 points for the winners. Arnaud Cotture added 8 points in the victory. Vlad Cobzaru answered with 17 points for Romania. Andrei Ciordas had 13 points in the losing effort.
