Preliminary Round Day 5: ROMANIA - SCOTLAND 90-69

Romania posts the initial win in Miskolc at the U18 European Championship in Division B. The Romanian side finished with 1-2 record after a 90:69 win over Scotland. The latter ended up undefeated as both teams head to the Classification Round. Both teams entered the game winless and desired to achieve the first one. Romania started with 27-17 lead and never looked behind after. They posted 21 points in the second, third and the last quarters and it was enough to celebrate the victory. Raileanu Iulia top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Gavrila Cristina shot 13. Kirberg Selena delivered 10, whilst Kelemen Kincso had 9. Simpson Kirsten produced 15 points in the losing effort and Peacock Hannah collected 15 points and 11 rebounds. Lewis Robyn notched 14 and McCrea Gemma brought 10.
