Top 32 Round 1: Stelmet ZG - Unics 72-77

Unics got to the winning start of their EuroCup Last 32 campaign. They defeated Stelmet in Zielona Gora in Group O fixture. Andrew Goudelock scored 17 points to lead the Kazan outfit. Stelmet and Unics stayed neck and neck throughout the opening frame. The hosts pulled ahead in the second frame. The Polish team jumped to a 42:40 halftime advantage. But Unics responded with a confident rally in the third term. The visitors pulled ahead and secured a 62:54 lead heading into the final frame. Stelmet trimmed the gap in the fourth stanza but could not rescue the game. Chuck Eidson connected for 13 points, while Ian Vougioukas had 12 points in the victory. Vladimir Dragicevic and Lukasz Koszarek answered with 14 points each for Stelmet Zielona Gora.
