Besiktas earned a road victory in Vilnius at the start of the EuroCup Last 32. Chris Lofton chipped in 23 points to lead the winners. Besiktas unleashed 31 points in the opening frame and gained a 13-point lead. The hosts narrowed the gap in the second term. Lietuvos Rytas picked up the tempo and got within 7 points at the interval 46:53. But Besiktas did not allow the home team closer in the third quarter. The Turkish powerhouse fired 28 points and entered the fourth term up by 14 points 81:67. Lietuvos Rytas used an 11:0 run to cut the deficit at 7-point mark in the fourth term. The hosts eventually got within two points late in regulation. Zabian Dowdell had a chance to send the game into overtime but missed his attempt with the time running out. Bradley Buckman delivered 20 points, while Sundiata Gaines contributed 18 points and 7 assists for the visitors. Zabian Dowdell answered with 20 points for Lietuvos Rytas. Martynas Gecevicius topscored with 24 points in the loss.
