The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-21. But Stelmet ZG won second period 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Oostende won last quarter 23-20. It was a good game for Serbian-Montenegrin guard Dusan Djordjevic (193-83, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) added 17 points in the effort for Stelmet ZG. Five Oostende and four Stelmet ZG players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game.
