Unics overcame an 11-point deficit after the opening leg of the EuroCup semifinal series versus Crvena Zvezda and advanced into the title series. Unics claimed a 17-point hime win in Kazan today to make another step towards the trophy. Unics and Crvena Zvezda exchanged baskets throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 15:15 after ten minutes. Unics stepped on the gas in the second frame. The Russian team poured in 27 points in the period and accumulated a 42:36 halftime lead. Things got worse for the Serbian team in the third term. Unics dominated at both ends of the floor stretching their lead. The Kazan team gained a 65:49 lead at the final intermission. DeMarcus Nelson and Jaka Blazic pulled the visitors within 11 points with just over two minutes remaining. But Nikolaos Zisis scored 7 points in the final two minutes of regulation and propelled Unics to so much needed victory. Nikolaos Zisis delivered 26 points to pace the Russian team. Andrew Goudelock contributed 17 points for the winners. Boban Marjanovic answered with 12 points and 11 boards for Crvena Zvezda. DeMarcus Nelson had 11 points in the loss.
