Qualifying Round Day 6: ROMANIA - LATVIA 70-82

Latvia defeated Romania to finish their Group F campaign undefeated. Janis Blums scored 15 points to pace the Baltic team. Romania and Latvia were tied at 37 after the first half. But Latvia unloaded 27 points in the third term to jump at 9-point lead. They held the hosts to just 15 points in the fourth quarter and sealed the winning outcome. Janis Strelnieks and Dairis Bertans had 13 points each for the winners. Mihai Silvasan and Vlad-Sorin Moldoveanu responded with 18 points apiece as Romania finished second in the group.
