There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Spanish Valencia Basket (3-7) crushed at home 4th ranked Lithuanian Neptunas (4-6) 103-65 on Thursday and eliminated the latter ones from the Top 16 race. The game without a history. Valencia Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Neptunas' 32. Valencia Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Luke Harangody (202-88, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds. Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Deividas Gailius (200-88) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Valdas Vasylius (202-83, college: ODU) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Neptunas.
