Regular Season Round 13: UMMC - Good Angels 75-52

Russian leader UMMC Ekaterinburg delivered the tenth victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Slovakian Good Angels (2-10) 75-52. The game was mostly controlled by UMMC Ekaterinburg. Good Angels was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Good Angels to just 6 points in fourth quarter. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Good Angels' 26. They outrebounded Good Angels 36-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of French center Sandrine Gruda (193-87, agency: Comsport) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Spanish forward Alba Torrens (188-89) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. American power forward Crystal Langhorne (188-86, college: Maryland) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Sugar Rodgers (180-89, college: Georgetown) added 11 points in the effort for Good Angels. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg (10-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending Russian champion maintains first place in Group A. Good Angels lost fourth consecutive game. Defending Slovakian champion stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg will play against Dynamo Kursk on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
