Semi-Finals Game 1: Maccabi Ashdod - Villeneuve 66-57

Maccabi Ashdod made a big step towards EuroCup Final. They prevailed against visiting Villeneuve in the first leg of the semifinal series. Tiffany Jackson was responsible for 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Israeli team. Villeneuve clinched an early lead. They accounted for a 16:13 advantage after the opening quarter. Maccabi shifted the gear in the second term. The Israeli team pulled ahead for a 30:26 halftime advantage. The hosts boosted the gap in the third quarter. Maccabi accumulated a 44:38 advantage heading into the fourth frame. Maccabi fired 22 points in the final stanza and secured a comfortable cushion before the return leg. Hightower had 15 points, while Clark added 10 points for the hosts. Wauters responded with 17 points for Villeneuve. Mahoney netted 13 points in the loss.
