Regular Season Round 4: Khimky - Strasbourg 88-62
Date: November 5, 2015
Rather predictable result when third ranked Russian Khimky (3-1) rolled over at home bottom-ranked French Strasbourg IG (1-3) 88-62 on Thursday. The game without a history. Khimky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Khimky looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Alexey Shved (198-88, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. American-Montenegrin point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll., agency: Priority Sports) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Khimky players scored in double figures. American guard Mardy Collins (198-84, college: Temple) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) added 8 points and 5 assists in the effort for Strasbourg IG. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Khimky keeps a position of Group A leader, which they share with Fener.Ulker. Loser Strasbourg IG stay at the bottom place with three games lost. Khimky will face league's leader Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Strasbourg IG will play at home against Real Madrid (#3) and hope to win that game.
