There was a small surprise when sixth ranked French Strasbourg IG (2-3) defeated at home 3rd placed Spanish Real Madrid (2-3) 93-86 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-86. Strasbourg IG dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Real Madrid's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) stepped up and scored 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Rodrigue Beaubois (185-88, agency: Comsport) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists.
