Regular Season Round 7: Limoges - Cedevita 69-78

Rather predictable result when third ranked Croatian Cedevita (4-3) won against on the road 5th ranked French Limoges CSP Elite (2-5) 78-69 on Thursday. Limoges CSP Elite trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 18-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-78 at the end of the game. It was a very good performance for Luka Babic (201-91, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Marko Arapovic (207-96) contributed with 9 points for the winners. German point guard Heiko Schaffartzik (183-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists and guard Leo Westermann (196-92, agency: Beo Basket) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending Croatian champion moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Laboral Kutxa. Defending French champion Limoges CSP Elite keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Cedevita will face Anadolu Efes (#4) in Istanbul in the next round. Limoges CSP Elite will play on the road against Laboral Kutxa in Vitoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
