Regular Season Round 10: Real Madrid - Strasbourg 97-65

Rather expected game when 6th ranked French Strasbourg IG (3-7) was smashed on the road by third ranked Spanish Real Madrid (5-5) 97-65 on Thursday. The game without a history. Real Madrid led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Strasbourg IG's 38. Real Madrid looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Strasbourg IG's players. It was a very good performance for Felipe Reyes (204-80) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Real Madrid players scored in double figures. Point guard Rodrigue Beaubois (185-88, agency: Comsport) replied with 17 points and Montenegrin-Serbian center Vladimir Golubovic (212-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Strasbourg IG. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Spanish champion maintains third position in Group A with 5-5 record having just three points less than leader Fener.Ulker. Loser Strasbourg IG keeps the sixth place with seven games lost.
