Regular Season Round 10: Galatasaray - Good Angels 69-57

Rather predictable result in Istanbul where fourth ranked Turkish Galatasaray (6-4) defeated 6th ranked Slovakian Good Angels (3-7) 69-57 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Galatasaray. Good Angels was better in third quarter 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Jewell Loyd (178-93, college: Notre Dame) scored 26 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Bosnian center Lynetta Kizer (193-90, college: Maryland) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Crystal Langhorne (188-86, college: Maryland) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Defending Turkish champion moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Dynamo K. Good Angels lost third consecutive game. Defending Slovakian champion keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Galatasaray will face Villeneuve D'Ascq (#5) on the road in the next round. Good Angels will play against Dynamo Kursk and hope to win that game.
