The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. EWE Baskets was better in fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded EWE Baskets 41-23 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Valencia Basket made 7 blocks. American-Lithuanian forward John Shurna (204-90, college: Northwestern, agency: Priority Sports) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) with 20 points and his fellow American import center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
