The game was mostly controlled by Galatasaray. Banco di Srd managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Banco di Srd 42-17 including a 18-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gabonese center Stephane Lasme (203-82, college: Massachusetts) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Vladimir Micov (201-85, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Tony Mitchell (198-89, college: Alabama) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Joe Alexander (203-86, college: W.Virginia) scored 12 points. Four Galatasaray and five Banco di Srd players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
