The game was mostly controlled by EnBW Ludwigsburg. Zenit was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Zenit 41-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. EnBW Ludwigsburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Royce O'Neale (198-93, college: Baylor) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Ryan Toolson (193-85, college: Utah Valley) with 16 points and 4 assists and forward Andrey Koscheev (205-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
