The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Strasbourg IG won third quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. EWE Baskets' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Matt Howard (203-89, college: Butler) answered with 8 points and 11 rebounds and guard Paul Lacombe (195-90, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 4 steals in the effort for Strasbourg IG.
