Bourges made a big step towards EuroCup title. They upset Villeneuve on the road in the opening leg of the Finals. Celine Dumerc nailed 12 points to lead the visitors. Bourges came up with impressive second half performance to rally to the victory. Villeneuve and Bourges were tied at 10 after ten minutes. The hosts pulled ahead in the second frame. Villeneuve piled up a 24:14 halftime advantage. But Bourges turned things around in the second half. They went on a furious 20:6 run in the third term to secure a 4-point lead. Bourges followed with a 17:10 surge in the fourth quarter to secure a comfortable victory at the end. Johannah Leedham posted 11 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the visitors. Marielle Amant and Johanne Gomis responded with 9 points apiece for Villeneuve.
