Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Italian Armani Milano and 9th ranked Turkish Anadolu Efes had identical 2-3 record. This time Armani Milano used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Istanbul 105-92 on Thursday night. The game without a history. Armani Milano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 68.4 percentage. Armani Milano looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatia swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85) who scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American swingman Rakim Sanders (193-89, college: Fairfield) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was French guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 18 points and 7 assists and American forward Derrick Brown (203-87, college: Xavier) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Armani Milano and four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Italian champion (3-3) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Olympiacos. Anadolu Efes at the other side dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Armani Milano will face league's second-placed Baskonia in Vitoria in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Anadolu Efes will play at home against Unics Kazan (#13) and hope to win that game.
