Regular Season Round 6: CSKA - Real Madrid 91-90

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Euroleague took place in Moscow. This game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-best Spanish Real Madrid (4-2) to top-ranked Russia CSKA (6-0) 91-90 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Real Madrid. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-90. CSKA made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Real Madrid helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was French Nando De Colo (196-87) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Serbian point guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Sergio Llull (190-87) who recorded 21 points and 7 assists and Slovenia point guard Luka Doncic (201-99) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CSKA have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending Russia champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. Defending Spanish champion Real Madrid keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. CSKA are looking forward to face Darussafaka (#4) in Istanbul in the next round. Real Madrid will play at home against Panathinaikos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
