Regular Season Round 4: UNI Gyor - Wisla Can-Pack 61-91

We should not miss anothera road victory of eighth ranked Polish Wisla Can-Pack (1-3) who outleveled bottom-ranked Hungarian UNI Gyor (0-4) by 30 points 91-61. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Can-Pack. UNI Gyor was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla Can-Pack forced 22 UNI Gyor turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Wisla Can-Pack especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) fired 23 points for the winners. Center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Wisla Can-Pack players scored in double figures. Belarusian swingman Tatsiana Likhtarovich (180-88) produced 12 points and American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Polish champion left bottom position moving up to sixth place in Group A. UNI Gyor at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Wisla Can-Pack's next round opponent will be higher ranked Fenerbahce (#3) in Istanbul and it may be quite challenging game. UNI Gyor will play on the road against Mersin BSB (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
