No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked French Lattes Montpellier (4-3) beat at home 6th ranked Polish Wisla Can-Pack (2-5) 74-68 on Wednesday. Wisla Can-Pack trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 16-11 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 68-74 at the end of the game. Lattes Montpellier dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Can-Pack's 36. Lattes Montpellier looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for Gabonese-French power forward Geraldine Robert (183-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. Center Elodie Godin (191-85) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) added 19 points in the effort for Wisla Can-Pack. Defending French champion maintains fourth place in Group A with 4-3 record. Defending Polish champion Wisla Can-Pack keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Lattes Montpellier will face bottom-ranked Mersin BSB (#8) at home in the next round. Wisla Can-Pack will play against the league's leader Dynamo Kursk and hope to win that game.
