Euroleague round 7 most important game was a victory of French Villeneuve D'Ascq over 4th placed Hungarian MKB Euroleasing 72-62 on Wednesday night. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-62. Villeneuve D'Ascq forced 27 MKB Euroleasing turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Olivia Epoupa (165-94) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Valerianne Ayayi (184-94) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Yvonne Turner (176-87, college: Nebraska) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and Australian center Cayla George (192-89) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for MKB Euroleasing. Four MKB Euroleasing players scored in double figures. Villeneuve D'Ascq (4-3) moved-up to third place in Group B. Defending Hungarian champion MKB Euroleasing dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Villeneuve D'Ascq are looking forward to face Bourges (#6) on the road in the next round. MKB Euroleasing will play against CCC Polkowice and is hoping to win this game.
