Regular Season Round 8: Dynamo K. - Wisla Can-Pack 96-59

Euroleague top team - Russian Dynamo Kursk (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Polish Wisla Can-Pack (2-6) 96-59. The game without a history. Dynamo Kursk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Can-Pack's 40. They outrebounded Wisla Can-Pack 45-27 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dynamo Kursk looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American power forward Nneka Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Center Maria Vadeeva (193-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Four Dynamo Kursk players scored in double figures. Dynamo Kursk's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spanish point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-84) produced 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-89) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Dynamo Kursk maintains first position in Group A with 8-0 record. Defending Polish champion Wisla Can-Pack keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Dynamo Kursk will meet bottom-ranked Mersin BSB (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wisla Can-Pack will play against USK Praha and hope to secure a win.
