Galatasaray snatched a tough road win over PEAC-Pecs in the opener. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-11. But PEAC-Pecs won second period 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Galatasaray made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Senegalese power forward Astou Traore (182-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) fired 18 points and 5 steals for the winners. American point guard Moriah Jefferson (170-94, college: Connecticut) chipped in 16 points. Lithuanian power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and Dorka Juhasz (189-99) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
