Regular Season Round 9: Mersin BSB - Dynamo K. 70-84

Russian undefeated leader Dynamo Kursk delivered the ninth consecutive victory. This time they beat bottom-ranked Turkish Mersin BSB (0-9) 84-70. It looked good early as Mersin BSB took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dynamo Kursk took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 14 points. They also forced 22 Mersin BSB turnovers. Dynamo Kursk players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Nneka Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) nailed 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American Angel McCoughtry (187-86, college: Louisville) accounted for 14 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. American guard Danielle Robinson (178-89, college: Oklahoma) came up with 14 points and 8 assists and the other American import center Aneika Henry-Morello (193-86, college: Florida) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Mersin BSB in the defeat. Dynamo Kursk maintains first place in Group A with 9-0 record. Mersin BSB at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Dynamo Kursk's next round opponent will be Lattes Montpellier (#4) at home. Mersin BSB will play against USK Praha (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
