Yakin Dogu made the first step towards quarterfinals as they edged Keltern on the road. The game was mostly controlled by Yakin Dogu BGD. Gruner Stern Keltern was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Yakin Dogu BGD had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American-Hungarian point guard Courtney Vandersloot (173-89, college: Gonzaga) nailed 18 points and 8 assists for the winning side and American-Turkish center Quanitra Hollingsworth (196-88, college: VCU) accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Yakin Dogu BGD players scored in double figures. American point guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) came up with 16 points and Estonian forward Mailis Pokk (186-92) added 16 points respectively for Gruner Stern Keltern in the defeat. Gruner Stern Keltern's coach let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
