Fifth defeat of league's leader Russian CSKA (14-5) against thirteenth ranked Lithuanian Zalgiris (7-12) 79-74 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CSKA. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 22-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Zalgiris forced 19 CSKA turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-Slovenian point guard Kevin Pangos (188-93, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending Lithuanian champion moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Brose Bask. and Unics. Defending Russian champion CSKA still keeps top position with five games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Real Madrid who have the same record. CSKA will play next round against Anadolu Efes trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Zalgiris will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Darussafaka in Istanbul.
