Regular Season Round 20: Maccabi T-A - Unics 60-52

There was a surprise result in Tel-Aviv where fifteenth ranked Israeli Maccabi T-A (7-13) defeated higher ranked Russian Unics Kazan (7-13) 60-52 on Thursday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Unics Kazan won third quarter 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Victor Rudd (205-91, college: S.Florida) who helped to win the game recording 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Andrew Goudelock (190-88, college: Charleston) who added 17 points during the contest. Swingman Orlando Johnson (196-89, college: UCSB) responded with 13 points and Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Maccabi T-A moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Brose Bask. and Unics. Unics Kazan lost third consecutive game. Maccabi T-A will face Brose Baskets (#12) in Bamberg in the next round.
