Very expected game when 8th ranked Hungarian UNI Gyor (1-12) was smashed on the road by fourth ranked French Lattes Montpellier (7-6) 69-50 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Lattes Montpellier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lattes Montpellier forced 19 UNI Gyor turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Kristen Mann (185-83, college: UCSB, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 assists. Center Elodie Godin (191-85) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Brianna Kiesel (170-93, college: Pittsburgh) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for UNI Gyor. Defending French champion maintains fourth place in Group A with 7-6 record. Loser UNI Gyor stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Lattes Montpellier will face Wisla Can-Pack (#6) in Krakow in the next round. UNI Gyor will play at home against the league's leader Dynamo Kursk and hope to win that game.
