Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Spanish FC Barcelona (9-14) defeated on the road 15th ranked Italian Armani Milano (7-16) 83-78 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 24-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Cypriot-Bulgarian Alexander Vezenkov (206-95) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) responded with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Lithuanian point guard Mantas Kalnietis (195-86, agency: Players Group) scored 10 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. FC Barcelona moved-up to eleventh place. Defending Italian champion Armani Milano dropped to the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. FC Barcelona will face league's second-placed CSKA in Moscow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Armani Milano will play on the road against Baskonia (#8) in Vitoria and hope to win that game.
