Quarter-Finals Round 3: Valencia - Khimky 92-76

Valencia rolled past Khimky in the decider and sealed their semifinal appearance. It looked good early as Khimky took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Valencia Basket had a 24-15 second period charge getting the lead and Khimky was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-92. Valencia Basket had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Khimky's players. It was an exceptional evening for Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Alexey Shved (198-88, agency: Alti Sport) came up with 21 points and 4 assists and American-Bulgarian point guard Earl Rowland (188-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Khimky in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
