Another upset was a game between Greek Panathinaikos (14-11) and Lithuanian Zalgiris (11-14), which took place in Kaunas. Higher ranked Panathinaikos lost to tenth ranked Zalgiris in a road game 58-64. Panathinaikos were ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 30-17 charge of Zalgiris, which allowed them to win the game. French guard Leo Westermann (197-92, agency: BeoBasket) fired 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Paulius Jankunas (205-84) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Lithuanian champion maintains tenth place with 11-14 record. Panathinaikos at the other side keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Zalgiris' next round opponent will be Unics Kazan (#15) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Panathinaikos will play against the league's leader Real Madrid (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
