Valencia went on a strong run in the second half to secure a comfortable victory in the opening game of the semifinal series versus Hapoel Jerusalem. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Valencia Basket's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-20 extending their advantage to 15 points. Swingman Fernando San-Emeterio (199-84) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American swingman Tarence Kinsey (202-84, college: S.Carolina) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Curtis Jerrells (185-87, college: Baylor, agency: Stealth Sport) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
